Highlights from the latest cruise: CSR 9 (July 11th – 17th )

Despite the week started with very bad weather conditions and strong winds, participants of CSR 9 were able to spend many hours at sea and even to spend one night anchored between the beautiful Iles Lerins.

Cetaceans waited until the very last day to surprise our group, and after a few sighting of striped dolphins, on our way back to Sanremo we could finally spot fin whales. We counted a total of five individuals, which we followed during a few hours for completing our data collection.

Enriched with a lot of new experiences and knowing something more about the marine fauna of our Pelagos Sanctuary, participants of CSR9 could head back home well satisfied.
