Highlights from the latest cruise: CSR 16 (August 29th – September 4th)

  • Fin whale CSR Diary

Enjoy a few moments from the last week, by the CSR team number 16

  • A wonderful fin  whale spotted in the Pelagos Sanctuary by the team, after just a few hours sailing.
  • A group of about 30 pilot whales were spotted as well; this species is a relatively rare sighting in this area. They are typically curious about human visitors; Tethys’ boat can even be seen reflected on the whale’s head.
  • A sperm whale and bottlenose dolphins came at the end of the amazing week of team CSR 16, sighted at sunset, very close to Portosole Sanremo.
